Privacy

This is the personal website of Dr Tom Hitchcock. It is run by Mr Purple, and we follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Updated 9 October 2026.

What we collect

If you send an enquiry, we collect what you type into the form: usually your name, email, phone and message. Like any website, our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

To reply to you and, where it fits, to talk about speaking, coaching or the podcast. We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run this: Hostinger, which hosts the site, and GoHighLevel, our customer record and email system. Some of these store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it properly.

Cookies and advertising

This site uses one advertising measurement tag, the Reddit Pixel. It records page visits and when someone books or gets in touch, so we can tell whether our Reddit advertisements worked. Reddit’s own privacy policy applies to what it collects, and you can block it with your browser’s cookie settings or an ad blocker.

How long we keep it

For as long as we have a working relationship with you, and after that for as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email tom@mrpurple.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
